Oak Village

From bowls to buildings –  Established in 1974, OAK VILLAGE is a woodworking company offering a wide range of products from toys, lacquered bowls, to wooden furniture. The workshop is in the forest of Hiba Takayama, Japan, where woodworking craftsmen have thrived over the last 1300 years. Architectures and carpenters, who are also timber professionals, manage every detail, from design to construction. The vision of these craftsmen is that when making things using wood from one-hundred-year old trees, the products should last an equally long time.
