CUL DE SAC offers products made from aomori hiba, a cypress with unique qualities that is native to Japan. As an excellent building material, it is also used for temples. Hiba has a beautiful relaxing scent, is insect repelling, anti-macrobial, and has deodorizing effects.

In spite of the fact that Japan is about 70% forest, most of the timber currently being used around the country is imported. Making use of unusable trees, CUL DE SAC brings a collection of house-goods, furniture, and body products made from aomori hiba to the market, hoping that these products will contribute to improving Japan’s forestry situation.
