NANKEI POTTERY

NANKEI POTTERY originates back to 1913. They specialize in banko ware, a type of Japanese stoneware pottery traditional from this area. Their teapots are made from clay which is high in iron content. Iron is considered to enhance and mellow the flavor of Japanese Green Tea. Not glazing the inside of the teapots promotes this effect.
