Shinichiro Ogata is a Tokyo based architect, designer, restaurant owner and the founder of SABOE, a distributor of finest Japanese teas. He believes that to drink tea is to take the power of nature into your body. Making tea brings a connection between nature and tea-maker; drinking tea brings harmony between mind and body.

Shinichiro Ogata also started the brand S>> with traditional Japanese tableware products produced by artisans specializing in paper, ceramics, iron, tin, copper, lacquer, glass, and wood.

These products are also used and can be enjoyed at his restaurants and tea salons such as Higashiya in Tokyo and Ogata in Paris.
