Sanaa

SANAA is a multi award-winning architecture practice, based in Tokyo, Japan.

It was founded in 1995 by the architects Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa, SANAA designs are simple and purposeful. They explore the properties of continuous space, lightness, transparency, and materiality to create a subtle synthesis between inside and outside.

Iconic projects by SANAA include the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa, the Rolex Learning Center in Lausanne, and the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York.
