HOSHIKO
HOSHIKO is a unique Japanese plum liqueur created by Danny Aikawa. Aikawa is a renowned Japanese bartender with many years of experience in organizing cultural activities around fine foods and beverages in Wakayama Prefecture. In a process of over 25 years he has developed and refined HOSHIKO to what he sees as a perfect creation.
HOSHIKO’s distinctive yet subtly elegant taste comes from carefully selected Ume plums, domestic to the Wakayama Prefecture. These differ to other plum varieties in that they are less sour and more flavorful. The citric acid in these plums are said to have an invigorating effect. The organic acids help relieve fatigue, regulate the intestines, and improve skin condition.
HOSHIKO’s elegant fruit profile comes from a secret process of extracting the plum essence and then macerating it in vodka with different spices.
