Junya Ishigami

JUNYA ISHIGAMI is a Japanese architect born in Kanagawa prefecture in 1974. He began his career at studio SANAA before opening his own studio junya ishigami+associates in 2004. Recipient of many rewards, his most notable design works include a 10-meter long steel table with an ultra-thin oscillating top, an enormous aerostatic balloon presented at the Tokyo Museum of Contemporary Art in 2007, and the Japanese Pavillion at the Venice Biennale Architecture exhibition in 2008.
